Dr. Akshay Bhardwaj, is presently Head, Department of Information Technology at University Institute of Technology, Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla. He has over 17 years of experience in teaching various subjects in the field of engineering, being an engineer himself. He has a deep interest in object Oriented development and Web Technologies. In addition, he has interests in the areas of Operating System security, Mobile and wireless networks. Currently, he is pursuing his research interests in Internet of Things. Author of countless research papers and articles published in National and International Journals, he also has many national and International patents to his credit. He believes the best use of technology is one where it can be used for the welfare of the people.
