Controller of Examination

  1. The Controller of Examinations shall be a whole time salaried officer of the University and he shall be appointed by the Executive Council on the recommendations of Selection Committee constituted for the purpose or by transfer of the incumbent of the office of the Registrar,on such terms and conditions, as may be prescribed by the Ordinances.
  2.  When the office of the Controller of Examinations is vacant or when the Controller of Examinations is by reason of illness or absence for any other cause, unable to perform the duties of his office, the duties of the office shall be performed by such person as the Vice-Chancellor mayappoint for the purpose.
  3. The Controller of Examinations shall:-
  • Conduct examinations in a disciplined and efficient manner;

  • arrange for the setting of papers with strict regard to secrecy;

  • arrange for the declaration of all the results, evaluation & re-evaluation of answer sheets;

  • constantly review the system of examinations in order to enhance the level of impartiality and objectivity with a view to make it better instrument for assessing the attainments of students:

  • any other matter connected with examinations which may, from time to time be assigned to him by the Vice-Chancellor.

He/she shall conduct examinations in a disciplined and efficient manner, arrange for the setting of papers with strict regard to secrecy, arrange for the declaration of all the results, evaluation and re-evaluation of answer sheets. He/she shall be made constantly review the system of examinations in order to enhance the level of impartiality and objectivity with a view to make it better instrument for assessing the attainments of students and any other matter connected with examinations which may, from time to time assigned to him/her by the Vice-Chancellor.
