I warmly welcome you to the Faculty of Law, Himahcal Pradesh University, Shimla, where legal excellence is pursued, nurtured and encouraged. The Faculty of Law assists you in making your selection for professional education. Education builds confidence for decision making to face the challenges of life. The best way to achieve career success is to set goals and chalk out a strategy to achieve them. Aiming this, the Institution has always to take front seat in mankind’s intellectual and creative career. The Faculty of Law, Himachal Pradesh University Summerhill Shimla is the highest abode of Legal Education i.e. learning and enlightenment. Education is said to be the Third eye of the Wo(men)-which burn the evil and lights the good. Learning gives benevolence; benevolence gives nobility, large-heartedness and enlightenment.

Through this message we intend to assist you in making your selection for the appropriate Institution for Legal Education. While in UILS our constant endeavor has been to instill the principles of good governance in the young minds right from the beginning of their life and career in the Department with an objective to produce enlightened, socially empowered and legally well-equipped human beings. Our aim has always been to impart Legal Education for the holistic individual to think, to feel, to do and to be.

Thus, the Departmentendeavors to prepare law students of high caliber with intellectually, emotionally, and psychologically strong leadership abilities. We continuously scan the environment and upgrade System, Processes, facilities and technologies to support changing requirements for delivering quality Legal Education.
