In addition to the University's Central Library, the Department has developed a small in-house library for the students. It has a good collection of academic, fiction, non-fiction and competitive exam books.

Academic books focus on theoretical and practicals aspects of various areas of journalism and mass communication education.

Non-fiction books include books on politics, history, society, etc.

The Department library also subscribed to a large number of newspapers and periodicals in both Hindi and English.

The library also has copies of research documents and studies compiled over the years in the Department.
