Internship

 An important part of the Department’s engagement with the industry is through internship of our students. Each student is placed with a reputed national-level organization (newspapers, television, FM radio, journalism websites, etc.) for a six-week training every year.  The internship may be in one of the following areas: journalism, public relations, advertising, development communication or visual communication, radio and television production. A student can also have the following work profiles: writing, copy editing, production or designing in television, radio, print publications, internet publications, etc.

Placements

The Department has an excellent placement record over the years, especially in print and television journalism. Our students also find placements in public relations, advertising, development communication and teaching. Our students are also doing exceedingly well in research programmes in several universities across the country.
