Established in 1971 the Department of Political Science is one of the founding departments of Himachal Pradesh University. The department has till now produced a galaxy of scholars, statesmen, bureaucrats and leaders. Former Afghanistan President Dr. Hamid Karzai, BJP national president J.P.
