Dr. Richa Chandel presently working as Assistant Professor (ECE), UIT, Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla (A State Government University). She has teaching and research experience of more than 5 years. She received her M.Tech degree in Digital Signal Processing from G. B. Pant Institute of Engineering & Technology, Uttarakhand, India in 2013 and  completed her Ph.D. degree in Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering from G. B. Pant Institute of Engineering & Technology, Uttarakhand, India in February 2018. Her research interests mainly include design and development of Microstrip Antenna, DGS Microstrip antenna, Ultra-wideband components, systems, and applications, oil pipeline imaging, MIMO Antennas for various applications.
She was awarded with First Prize of 'Governor's Award 2019’ for Best Research under the science and technology categoryat RajbhawanUttarakhand, Dehradunin February 2020.
She has published more than 12 research papers in reputed international journals including IEEE Transactions and 3 research papers in international conferences (IEEE). She has also published book chapters in CRC Press Taylor &Francis Group. She is a life time member of The Institute of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers. She is reviewer of various international journals including International Journal of Electronics and IET Microwaves, Antennas and Propagation.
