Kapil received the Ph.D. degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering from Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra. He has got total research and academic experience of 15 years. His research areas of interest are Rectenna & Energy Harvesting, Flexible and Printable Electronics, Graphene Based Devices and MIM diodes. He has published various research publications as 14 in SCI/ESCI/SCIE, 2 in Scopus, 7 research articles in national and international conferences, one published book chapter and 4 articles under communication. He has also filed 3- Indian patents and two under preparation. During his research work at U.I.E.T. Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra (NAAC Grade A+) he also learned the skills in manual and automatic screen printing technology, PVD, bar coating, Langmuir Blodgett film deposition method, TRM (Triple Roll Mill),Vector Network Analyzer; High vacuum Coating Unit with e-beam source, Photo-plotter, Imported for Soft mask Making, TRM, Autolab (Potentiostat- Galvanostat), System Source Meter-2450, 4-Point Probe Measurement System, Muffle Furnace, Horn Sonication, Temp. controlled centrifuge Spectrometer etc.
He has also worked on development of in house products such as film compression unit, light & gridline assisted manual screen printing, bar-coating setup and triple roll machine. He has passionately worked and assisted in developing Class-10000 Clean room for fabrication and electrical characterization of microelectronics and flexible devices at UIET, Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra. He assisted the ECE department in setting up research laboratory “RF & Flexible Microelectronics Research Laboratory” for UG, PG and Ph.D. students to conduct research for major as well as minor project and thesis work with more than 20 experimental setups. He was also actively involved in the smooth operation and maintenance of clean room. Presently he is reviewers of journals such as IEEE Access, IET Microwaves, Antennas and Propagation, Wiley, Journal of Infrared, Millimeter and Terahertz Waves, Springer Nature, Micro & Nano Letters, Wiley, Information Processing & Management, Elsevier etc. Currently his key areas of research are Rectenna & energy harvesting, flexible and printable electronics, graphene based devices, MIM diodes.
In addition to his teaching responsibility at UIT, H.P. University Shimla his other academic engagements are TEQIP, IIC and IPR, etc.
